Q: How long is a First Aid course?

​

A: This depends on the course you choose. The certified courses such as "Emergency First Aid at Work (EFAW)" is a one-day course while the "First Aid at Work (FAW)"  course is three-days. If you already have a FAW certificate due for renewal there is a "refresher FAW" course which is 2 days. Other courses and classes are available which may not be certified and can be anything between 2 hours and 2 days long. Please see our website for details.

Q: What topics are covered in a First Aid course?

​

A: This depends on the course you choose. Core topics include lifesaving skills such as cardiopulmonary resuscitation (CPR), using a defibrillator and choking. Other topics can include wound management,  burn care, broken bones and allergic reactions. The FAW course include common illnesses as well as injuries.

Q: What are the First Aid requirements for my workplace?

​

A: The Health and Safety Executive set out legal requirements for First Aid provision in workplaces. Workplaces must provide First Aid for its employees such as First Aid equipment and trained first aiders. The level of First Aid provision will depend on the number of employees and type of work carried out. Contact us for further information and guidance.

Q: Are there any practical elements to a First Aid course?

​

A: Yes there is. The certified courses require competent completion of some First Aid skills. These form part of the course and a requirement for certification. We recommend wearing comfortable clothes for our courses.

Q:  Is there an exam for certified First Aid courses?

​

A: Yes. There are practical assessments throughout the course with a final multiple choice exam paper.

Q. Are First Aid courses certified?

​

A: Yes. First Aid at Work, Emergency First aid at Work, Emergency Child First Aid and Child First Aid are all certified courses.

Q: How long is a First Aid certificate valid for?

​

A: All certified courses are valid for three years. Although you can have yearly updates if you want. 

​

Q: Are there any First Aid courses specific for children?

​

A: Yes, courses include Children First Aid and Emergency Child First Aid. These are also certified. 

​

Q: Where are First Aid courses held?

​

A: Go To First Aid Training are flexible and can come to your own workplace, so your employees do not have to spend time travelling. Or we can deliver first aid courses in your local area.

Q: How do I book on a First Aid course?

​

A: You can book through our website or directly through our events on Eventbrite. Alternatively if the dates and places don't suit please contact us to discuss alternative dates and times.

Q: Who will be delivering the First Aid training?

​

A: Go To First Aid Training courses are delivered by registered nurses who are experienced educators. â€‹

Q. How much does a First Aid Course cost?

​
